Our Story

We are world travelers - Bruce is Scottish/Australian, thus why we have Highlands, and Pinkie grew up in Virginia and overseas. By chance we found this beautiful farm while visiting from Colorado, and we are so fortunate our 2 adult children wanted to move to this area too!

The house was built in 1910 by the Graves family, and at that time had about 200 acres. We have been able learn the early history of the farm by corresponding with the youngest daughter of the Graves that was born in the house in the 1920's. We bought the house in 2015 and spent the next year and a half completely renovating the house, outbuildings, barns, and gardens. There have been some unexpected adventures along the way including one of our cows ending up in the pool. We love to share our beautiful farm with everyone which spurred our dream of turning it into a bed and breakfast.
